Had a great day at both GP and AQU yesterday, and as I am a superstitious sort, I will post what I'm playing for the first five from Gulfstream again today.
Race 1 - #3 Jealous Eyes (9-2) The rail horse will likely be an underlay and this one arguably has better late kick based on most recent. Another step forward takes the money.
Race 2 - #8 Strong Ending (3-1) Wide open race so it kills me to land on a Saffie runner. But, although I can make a case for the 3,5,6,& 7, I will be on this one at 2-1 or better. However, I will probably select the #5 for any tournament play.
Race 3 - #6 Magical Cause (5-1) Totally ignoring the 3-5 favorite here (buyer beware). I think he'll pop and stop. Sets the race up for the closer.
Race 4 - #6 Mr Kelly (10-1) Tempted to take Capitan Fofo just because I love to hear Aiello call his name. But, this is real money so I'm landing on the class-dropper moving from turf to dirt (a profitable move for Winebaugh over the years). This may be my favorite pick of the day.
Race 5 - #3 Union Gap (10-1) I'm on Saffie again, but should get fairer odds here. The debut at Churchill was awful, but he gets JO, Lasix, and a drop into the claiming ranks.
